The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has lambasted Governor Abubakar Sani Bello over numerous abandoned road projects in the state, particularly the 86km Kontagora to Rijau road.
The governorship candidate of ADC in Niger state, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Mani stated this Sunday in an interactive session with journalists.
He said, “Governor Sani Bello has not shown interest and concern over the plight of the people in Rijau area of the state since the inception of his administration four years ago. We are worried that the 86km Kontagora to Rijau road has been abandoned while we regret the perennial lack of potable water, standard health facility and education in the area”.
Mani said that the governor does not deserve second term in office and should be voted out in the coming elections for development of the state.
He implored the electorate to guard against vote buying by agents of government adding that, “we should resist any kind of votes buying and protect our votes jealously to ensure that our vote counts”.
He said the state government was jittery over imminent loss of in the coming election, hence it has been descending heavily on opposition parties and using hired agents to disrupt rallies organised by the opposition. He said this antics of the ruling APC administration in the state will not work, as people are fed up with its inexcusable non-performance rating.
