The Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu says he will declare a state of emergency on housing sector to address the deficit of shelter in the state if elected as governor.
Chief Adelabu stated this while addressing party supporters at Kisi town in Oorelope Local Government area as part of his campaign tour to Oke Ogun zone of Oyo state.
He explained that the Governor Abiola Ajimobi-led administration had laid the foundation of peace and security as well as construction of roads and beautification of the environment, hence the construction of mass housing is next on the priority list to enhance the living standard of citizens in the state.
Chief Adelabu noted that laudable initiatives would be put in place immediately if he is sworn-in as governor to build modern houses for the people and also promised to upgrade the existing initiatives on Health, Security, Education, Transportation and Internally Revenue Generation.
The campaign train staged a road show in Sepeteri, Igboho and Igbeti in company of Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and other APC candidates in the zone.
