Tractor Showroom to be Established by Belarus in Katsina

Ambassador of Belarus, Mr. Vicheslar Vasileric stated that the Republic of Belarus is to establish a tractor showroom in Katsina State.

He said this  yesterday, shortly before he displayed some of the tractors and their accessories to Governor Aminu Bello Masari at the Government House.

And so, the country has requested the state government to allocate Republic of Belarus with land to commence process for establishing the showroom.

According to National Mirror, Vasileric said the Belarus model tractors were popular in African countries like Egypt, Angola, Mozambique and South Africa.

He said in Egypt alone, the Belarus-type tractor has been in use for over 30 years. He said his country was ready to provide complex solutions to agriculture as well as provide manpower training for people in the state.

The Ambassador said Belarus with a population of 9.5 million, is 100 per cent food secured, and that she accounts for eight per cent of milk produced in the world along four per cent of cheese produced globally.
