Nigerians have been urged to have zero tolerance for illegal trade in wildlife and sustain the environment, The Guardian reports.
The Guardian reports that the Commissioner for Environment in Lagos State, Dr. Babatunde Samuel Adejare, said this at the yearly ‘Walk For Nature’ programme, with the theme: ‘Save Our Heritage,’ organised by the Lagos State government and the Ministry of Environment, in conjunction with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, held at the State House in Marina.
Adejare, who represented Governor Akinwumi Ambode, appealed to the public to protect their environment, by keeping it clean and avoiding the pollution of water, which damages the ecosystem.
