Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has solicited for housing loans for Federal Capital Territory Administration staff (FCTA staff).
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the executive secretary of the Federal Government Staff housing loans Board, Dr. (Mrs.) Hannatu Adamu Fika Bello reiterated his concern and commitment to the welfare of staff of the administration.
Represented by the executive secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Umar Gambo Jibrin, the minister expressed appreciation on the good works being done by the board, which is geared towards the provision of houses for public servants at affordable prizes.
He told his host to always intimate the authority with its plans on housing delivery in the territory at the planning stage to ensure that such plans conform to the Abuja Master Plan.
Responding, Fika lamented the dilapidating conditions of the houses sold under the Federal Government’s Monetization Policy, which according to her necessitated the board’s partnership with the Federal Mortgage Bank (FMBN) to enable such owners’ access renovation loans.
She called for synergy between the board and the FCDA to move forward, especially in the area of the provision of land.
