Tracking Nigeria’s housing landscape in 6 years of Goodluck’s tenure

CEO MCO real estate, Munachi Okoye, joined CNBC Africa to talk on Nigeria’s housing market under Goodluck Jonathan’s Administration. Housing remains one of the most underdeveloped on the continent. Supply is far behind demand, with only 100,000 new houses being built annually compared with a need for over 700,000 and an accumulated deficit of 17 million units. This is a worsening problem given Nigeria’s fast expanding and rapidly urbanizing population.
