Calabar: Explosion Rocks CBN Building

An explosion has been reported in the Central Bank of Nigeria building, along Calabar Road, Calabar, Cross River state, around 12:30pm on Friday.

The cause of the explosion is unknown.

Premium Times reports that a source at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar, has said that scores of injured persons were seen being brought into the emergency unit of the hospital.

“I could count up to seven people with serious burns,” the source said.
