The Lagos State government has made it known that access from the service lane into Ikorodu Road at the Ojota Loop inward Ikorodu has been closed.
The Nation reports that access from the highway into the service lane is equally closed.
According to The Nation, a statement by Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Transportation, Biola Fagunwa, said the initiative was to manage traffic along the axis and maximise the gains of various traffic management strategies adopted.
“All those intending to link the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are to take their journey through the service lane to link up at the Loop.
“There are exits into the service lane just after Ojota Garage and after the pedestrian bridges along the Ikorodu bound traffic.
“Traffic control personnel and appropriate signs have been installed. We urge motorists to partner with them to ensure free flow of traffic,” the statement said.
The statement said motorists, especially commercial bus operators, must restrict their activities to the service lanes and ensure that they use designated bus stops.
