Makoko Floating School Collapses After Heavy Rainfall

After the heavy rainstorm on Tuesday, the floating school situated in Makoko, Yaba area of Lagos, collapsed.

The weak structure which had survived several storm but finally caved in. There were no casualties as the students had reportedly been relocated to a main school building before the incident.

According to reports, plans to construct a new structure in the Waterfront community are already in place
