Some Nigerian celebrities including Jide Kosoko, Yemi Solade and Taiwo Akinsola have harped on the need for Nigerians to own landed properties toward having a roof over their heads.
They spoke at the Love and Investment Dinner organised by Merit Abode Nigeria Limited, where a couple of the Year was crowned.
Couples and other guests at the party, held in commemoration of the 2018 Valentine’s Day, took advantage of some offers by Merit Abode, a real estate company and operators of the Emerald Garden City Series.
The dinner, compered by Comedian Ajebo, had the brand ambassadors of the company, Kosoko, Solade and Akinsola in attendance with presentations on the importance of owning landed properties.
Speakers at the event included the brand ambassadors/celebrities like Kosoko, Solade, Dr. Ambrose Somide and the CEO of Brian Investments, Alhaji Tunji Balogun.
The speakers harped on the need to acquire landed properties, advising potential subscribers not to wait till they have all the money in the world to start as they can actually start their journey to becoming home owners with very little funds.
This, according to the Managing Director of Merit Abode, Mr Oladotun Oseni, is in line with the policy and vision of the company. According to him, it is the policy of the company to ensure that as many Nigerians as possible become home owners by giving them an opportunity to start small and go on to becoming owners of their own properties.
Highlights of the night included a performance by ace gospel singer, Tope Alabi and a couple’s game, where the Merit Abode Couple of the Year was chosen.
The winner of the couple’s game, the first and second runners up were given gifts for their efforts at the game.
