Ogun housing corporation to inaugurate 76 units

In its bid to provide affordable and quality houses for the residents, the Ogun State Housing Corporation has completed 76 different units in the past one year.

The General Manager, OGSHC, Mrs. Olajumoke Akinwunmi, disclosed this in Abeokuta while briefing journalists on the activities of the corporation, explaining that the houses would be inaugurated today (Monday).

The Plainfields Estate, according to her, comprises six units of three-bedroom fully-detached bungalows, eight blocks of two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows,11 blocks of three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, 13 blocks of four-bedroom semi-detached duplexes, and a block of six units of two and three-bedroom flats.

“It is one of the estates that provides a 24-hour community experience. By this I mean the estate is alive 24-hours with people. This is unlike building shopping malls where the place goes to sleep as soon as the shops close for the day,” she said.

The general manager added that the estate had many conveniences for the enjoyment of the inhabitants.

Akinwumi said, “The estate is finished with excellent facilities such as water treatment plant, tarred roads, recreation garden, electricity, and generator for powering the gatehouse and street lights. It is the first fully serviced and gated estate of the corporation.
