Osun state Governor Gboyega Oyetola, yesterday sought the intervention of the Federal Government on the completion and repairs of some major federal roads in the state.
The governor, who spoke when he visited the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, listed them as Osogbo- Ilobun, Iwo-Osogbo, and Osogbo- Ilesa Roads.
Oyetola said some of the roads are in deplorable state, appealing to the minister for speedy intervention and completion in order to reduce the sufferings of the people of the state.
He said: “We have seen what you are doing in our state but we still need some more. Honourable minister, I still need you a lot in the areas of infrastructure.”
Fashola acquiesced to the governor’s request, saying the federal government was constructing 365 roads nationwide with less resource.
