Rainstorm wreaked havoc on Plateau communities.

Heavy rainstorm has wreaked havoc on most parts of Jos, the Plateau State capital, Monday afternoon, destroying roofs, power lines, vehicles and billboards.

It was gathered that two residential houses in Nasarawa Gwom in Jos North Local Government Area were also affected by the disaster.

PremuimTimes reporter in Jos said the roofs of a church at Angwan Doki of Bukuru in Jos South Local Government Area, and a mechanic workshop long Bukuru expressway, were also blown off by the heavy winds.
Residents said no life was lost in all the areas affected by the rainstorm.

The torrential rain, accompanied by windstorm, brought down two high-tension pole wires along Dadinkowa Zarmaganda junction, cutting the area off electricity supply.

A witness, Bala Idris, said the tragedy occurred in the afternoon when rainstorm brought down power lines.

“The rainstorm brought down this pole wire, and the pole wire fell on a car. We thank God that nobody died as we all ran for dear life.

“We have reported the matter to the electricity authority here in Dadinkowa. They came this morning and look at it and left.
