Chief Sunny Okogwu donates ten plots of land to NUJ

Chief Sunny Okogwu who is the founder and President ‎of black gold has given out ten plots of land at Sabon Gayan, Chikun Local Government area, Kaduna State to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna state council.

According to Leadership, he made the donation when the Executive Committee members and select members of the State Council led by its new Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf paid him a courtesy visit at his Kaduna residence.

The gesture according to the elder statesman is aimed at alleviating the suffering of Journalists in the area of land and residential ownership.
Chief Okogwu however urged the council to ensure proper utilisation of the plots of land, stressing that high rents being paid by journalists with meagre salaries and living in an unconducive environment can affect the conduct of their jobs.

The gesture according to the philanthropist is the beginning of the process until reasonable number of Journalists in the state have their personal houses.
Chief Okogwu also promised to provide sporting facilities to the Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kaduna State chapter.

Earlier, the Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf commended the elder statesman for his kind gesture and assured of members determination to work with him for the development of the state and the country as a whole.
