Borno Govt. Earmarks N100m For Rebuilding 3 Communities

The Borno State government said on Tuesday that it had earmarked N100 million for rebuilding structures damaged by insurgents in some communities of Konduga Local Government Area of the state.

The affected communities of Dalori, Mairi and Malari were attacked last week by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

Mr. Shettima disclosed this during a sympathy visit to the affected communities.

The governor expressed sadness over the attacks and appealed to the residents to consider it as an act of destiny.

He said government would collaborate with security agencies towards beefing up security across the state.

Mr. Shettima prayed for the repose of the soul of those killed during the attack, assuring that government would shoulder the medical bills of those injured.

Meanwhile, the governor also assessed the reconstruction work going on in Kaga Local Government Area of the state, where he expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done.

The governor also inspected the renovation of Government Secondary School, Auno, and Junior Secondary School, Benesheikh, both in the local government.

The governor charged the contractors to speed up work towards completing the projects on schedule.
