Can you live in your husband’s family house?

Staying with in-laws may be great but living in the same family house may not be such a good idea. It’s good to note that this would give you the opportunity to save but you might end up paying a higher price in the end.

Being a newlywed is a blissful time for couples to get to know each other and adjust to the new phase of their relationship. They should be able to own their privacy during this period. That’s why we came up with this opinion poll to hear what people have to say.

Most people debunked the idea while some feel it’s not such a bad idea.

Lenson said if his in-law is Dangote, Otedola, et.c why not?

Faith said too much familiarity breeds disrespect. The best thing is to have your won space’

Oladimeji said it is not advisable at all. She has a friend in that situation and she is currently blaming herself.

Kehinde Shadare said there would be no peace in that home.

Marcus opined that some circumstances warrant that so you might need to have a rethink.

Ajayi said the idea of staying with your in-laws may overwhelm you that you will end up loving every bit of it.

Olanrewanju rubbished the idea and called it nonsense. He said, “if he can’t get his own apartment then he is not yet ready to get married”.

Susan said two of her friends did and presently, one of them is out of the country. She told us her friend informed her that her in-law is nicer than her own family.

In her case however, they had their own apartment to themselves but in the same building.

In conclusion, some individuals feel it is biblically wrong to even stay with them.

Some of us are aware of the housing deficit in Nigeria, yet we still have to find a way to be comfortable in our abode.
