Vanguard reports that the Delta State Government, yesterday said it had stopped the 25 percent mobilisation fee to contractors for government contracts.
According to Vanguard, the State’s Commissioner for Works, Mr James Augoye, who disclosed this during a meeting with contractors in the state, told them to ensure execution of projects awarded to specification “or face sanctions and contracts revocation.
“Some contractors have been found wanting for executing substandard projects which have not only dented the image of the company but also that of the state government.”
