New Telegraph reports that a lawmaker representing Surulere I constituency, Hon. Desmond Elliot, has commended the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, over the ongoing upgrade of the Eko Tourist Resort, Akodo, in Ibeju Lekki area of the state.
Giving the commendation when the committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture went on an oversight of on-going projects under the supervision of the Ministry, Elliot who is the chairman of the committee expressed satisfaction at the pace of work and hailed the contractor and management of the Resort.
The lawmaker maintained that one of the core objectives of the Ambode administration was Tourism infrastructure as a drive to attract investors, create employment in the creative industry and boost revenue drive of the state, adding that the state House of Assembly would continue to support the executive arm to ensure that the dividends of democracy were achieved through developmental project.
