Enugu students commends Ugwuanyi on fixing of FG roads, Rangers

Vanguard reports that the Enugu State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for developments in the state, especially his timely intervention on the commencement of rehabilitation work at the Federal Government road along Oji-River–Ugwuoba-Anambra State border.

Also, it was reported that NANS  commended the governor’s contributions towards the success story of Enugu Rangers International Football Club as the new champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

In addition, Vanguard reports that the students through a statement jointly signed by the state chairman of NANS and its Public Relations Officer, Zone B, Comrade Chidi Ilogebe and Comrade Victor Ezenagu, also applauded the gesture of the Enugu State Governor “for being very quick and responsive to the plight of an injured player whom the governor ordered to be given the best medical care, even if it warrants flying him out of the country.”

They noted that the timely intervention of the governor on Oji-River–Ugwuoba-Anambra State border road was a welcome development and “a Christmas gift to Ndi Enugu and Ndigbo”, especially students studying in Anambra State and some parts of south-south and south-west zones.

The students disclosed that the Senate of NANS Zone B, after its meeting in Delta State on September 30, among other far-reaching decisions, appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi “for his wisdom in handling the herdsmen issue which has no doubt sustained the unity of Nigeria.”

According to the statement “We also hail Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the jinx breaker and the man with the magic wand, for bringing back the NPFL trophy to Enugu State after 32 years. We, therefore, reiterate our confidence in the governor for the way he has been handling issues that concern Ndi Enugu, Ndigbo and pray for more dividends of democracy.”
