He said the bank decided to intervene through renovation of the classrooms as well as provision of chairs and desks for the students.
The Regional Director added that the bank has been embarking on such projects in different communities across the country as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Principal of the school, Mr. James Alpha Tanglan, commended the bank for the gesture.
He said before the renovation students were suffering and shunning classes due to poor infrastructure at the school.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Village Head of Shongo, Sarkin Yaki Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Husseni, commended the bank for the kind gesture and called on the government to provide other social amenities to the village.
The Village Head appealed to the state government to provide water and construct an access road to the community.
