Gov Ortom provides land for digital institute

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has provided land for the establishment of the Digital Bridge Institute in the state.

New Telegraph reports that the Special Adviser on Media and ICT, Mr. Tahav Agerzua, disclosed this during a stakeholders’ meeting with officials of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House yesterday.

Agerzua noted that the governor had already written a letter inviting officials of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) to come and inspect the land allocated, sequel to the commencement of activities for the take-off of at the institute.

He said the land was large enough for a university should the Commission chooses to establish one or upgrade the institute to that status. According to the Special Adviser, the governor also approached the organisation to help him resuscitate the 52-knowledge centers spread across the state.
