Stakeholders seek improvement in real estate investments

The two-day event, which was themed: ‘Collaborating, innovating and growing to achieve adequate and affordable housing delivery in Nigeria’, had over 2,500 visitors and more than 80 exhibitors and provided a platform not only for networking and branding opportunities, but for professionals to discuss issues that affect the industry.

The Chairman, Credit Bureau Association of Nigeria, Mrs. Mobolanle Adesanya, described the role of credit bureaux as an important factor to consider when doing business.

Adesanya, who is also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, XDS Credit Bureau Association of Nigeria, advised participants to employ the services of credit bureaux to provide them with the credit information on prospective buyers or partners, and save them from fraudulent transactions.

According to her, a credit bureau is the only organisation that keeps adequate record of people’s credit information for future purposes.

She said this information would be vital in decision making, especially when choosing business partners.
