Lagos State gives Coker Estate 7-Day Ultimatum to rectify building plan

New Telegraph reports that the Lagos State Government yesterday issued a 7-day ultimatum to residents of Coker Estate in Alimosho Local Government, owners of filling stations and other property across the state to comply with building approved plan or face the wrath of the law.

According to New Telegraph, the General Manager of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), Mr Remi Oni-Orisan, who disclosed this during inspection and monitoring of structures in Alimosho Local Government, said the state would no longer condone illegality and existence of illegal structures and filling stations in the state.

Oni-Orisan, who led the officials of the agency in the inspection tour, bemoaned the rate of illegal developments across the state, said rehabilitated buildings must be certified for habitation by the government before people would move into such structures.

The LASPPPA boss, who said that all buildings in Cocker Estate in Alimosho Local Government were illegally built, charged the residents to comply with the provisions of the Lagos State building Laws within 7 days or face the wrath of the law.
