Make Land Available For Federal Fire Service In Sokoto ― Tambuwal

The Sokoto State governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has directed the state Ministry of Lands and Housing to allocate land for the construction of the federal fire service zonal office in Sokoto.

The governor issued the directive while inspecting two fire-fighting Vehicles allocated to the office by the federal government.

He commended the federal government and ministry of interior for establishing the zonal office in the state while assuring them that all the courtesies being enjoyed by other federal government organisations in the State would be extended to the office.

He said the federal government intervention in that regard would no doubt complement the state government efforts in that direction.

While briefing the governor earlier, the Zonal Commander of the Federal Fire Service Sokoto, Alh Bello Aliyu Zagga said the federal government has allocated four fire-fighting vehicles to the zone two for Sokoto, one each for Kebbi and Zamfara States.

Zagga further said that the federal fire service zonal office was established to ensure safe environment across the zone.

He, however, solicited the support and cooperation of the state government for effective discharge of their duties.
