Nasarawa Airport Project: Govt. Signs MoU To Construct Lafia Airport

The Nasarawa State government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese firm for the construction of commercial airport in Lafia, the state capital.

Performing the ceremony at the Government House Lafia, Governor Tanko Al-Makura, said the airport when constructed, would serve both commercial and cargo service to the north central states.

Mr. Al-Makura believes that Nasarawa State must take advantage of its proximity to the Federal Capital Territory by providing alternative airport service to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
