Nigerian FG Asked to Reduce Influx Of Expatriates

Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association, CCESSA, has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency to do something about the high influx of expatriates in the nation’s construction industry, as well as to stop the tide.

President of the union,  Mr. Augustine Etafo and General Secretary Mr Ezekhumhe George, in a statement on Monday said that government’s intervention is very necessary in order to bolster growth and development in the industry.

The union leaders also said they have called on the National Assembly to take necessary steps on the local content bill to ensure that the policy is established as a local content Act in the construction industry.

In a statement found on their website, the president of the union says “we must strive to inaugurate more house units to boost our membership and fulfill our constitutional mandate to give coverage to our potential members in the Industry.”
