No Going Back On Land Use Charge Law – Oshiomhole

At the presentation of the report carried out on the Edo state revenue generating reforms carried out by former chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue service. Governor Oshiomhole who immediately signed the report seized the opportunity to clear the air on the land use charge law.

Governor Oshiomhole noted that the target of the Land Use Charge Law is not the low income earners but the middle and particularly the high income earners who consumes so much Land.

The Governor also insists that he does not interfere in the handling of local government council’s funds except in the statutory deduction of teachers’ salaries.
