PDP commends Rivers housing project

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has lauded Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for providing affordable housing for people in the state.

Rivers PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah, said residents had thus received a new lease of life.

This follows the commissioning of 50 lower-high income houses at Iriebe in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state recently.

The project is part of activities marking 100 days in office of the present administration in the state.

Obuah noted that the project was part of the numerous welfare packages promised the people during the electioneering campaign by the governor

He thus thanked Wike for not disappointing the party but working tirelessly in accomplishing the housing project and other infrastructural development projects in Port Harcourt, the capital of the state, and environs.

Obuah, while calling on all those that will benefit in the allocation of the facilities to maintain them, also urged the people to return such action of the governor by remaining supportive and peaceful.

He further assured the people of the state that the visible development efforts of the governor were “a tip of the iceberg” as the entire state would be revamped in the areas of human and infrastructural development.

“In the coming days more development projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people and the state will be commissioned by the PDP-led Government in the state,” Obuah assured.
