Rotary commences physiotherapy project in Delta hospital

The Rotary Club of Warri has launched the construction of a Physiotherapy Departmental project at the Central Hospital, Warri, in Delta State.

Vanguard reports that the President of Rotary Club of Warri, Daniel Agbofode, in his remark shortly before the flag-off of the multi-million naira project, explained that the decision to embark on the project became necessary following the upsurge in accidents resulting to bone fractures and the need to tackle increasing cases of diabetes and stroke within the eight local government areas serviced by the Warri Central Hospital.

He assured that the project will be ready in a record time and noted that efforts were on to incorporate other organisations towards the realisation of the project.

According to Vanguard, the District Governor of Rotary Club, District 9140, covering 11 states across Nigeria, Akabom Enebong stated that the initial doubt by the Warri Central Hospital management about the realisation of the project made its flag-off more exciting and promised to mobilise resources and professionals among Rotarians to ensure the project was completed.

Responding, Medical Director of Central Hospital, Warri, Dr. Chukwuebuni Ngozi, expressed surprise at the commencement of the project, admitting that she actually doubted the reality when a delegation of Rotary Club of Warri first approached her office, demanding for a critical need of the Delta State Government- owned hospital, Vanguard reports.
