City Mall Goes Agog! As Realty Point Launches Cedar Homes

20th, August, 2016 was a historic day for one of Nigeria’s real estate stalwarts, Realty Point Limited with the unveiling of Cedar Homes, their flagship entry product into affordable housing. Cedar homes is Realty Point’s affordable housing development aimed at providing access to quality housing solutions for middle level income earners.

The Cedar Homes brand is designed to deliver unparalleled, comfortable living experience within the most affordable and cost-effective means.

The launching of Cedar Homes which was held at Ace-Olivia hall, City Mall, Onikan, Lagos was graced by major stakeholders in the building and construction industry in the country, and well attended by some well meaning Nigerians. Pressmen, clients and even staffs of RPL, who were the hosts were not left out of the epoch making event.

Speaking minutes before the official unveiling of  RPL’s flagship entry product, the Managing Director and CEO of Realty Point Limited, Debo Adejana said the Cedar Homes project is designed in such a way that it is both Investor friendly and also comfortable for Owner-Purchaser. Mr. Adejana revealed that Realty Point was not just about making sales and money, but the company is also about giving value and touching lives.

Chairman, Board of Directors, Engr. Femi Dosumu stated that the company is mindful of its responsibility as a part of a larger society by paying deep attention to generating employment as they could, considering the fact that housing stock in the country suffers from a huge deficit  as recognised by the United Nations.

A member of the board of directors, Mr. Akin Olawore, pointed out that Realty Point ltd has evolved over time as a land banker and a land vendor. He noted that, Cedar homes was conceived with plans to make it sustainable and maintenance friendly against the backdrop of the poor maintenance culture observed in the country. Mr. Olawore, who is a renowned surveyor  was full of gratitude to the board of directors and management of the company for their tenacity of purpose and for keeping alive the dreams of the company.

Another director of the company, Mr. Afolabi Folayan, a renowned chartered accountant and stock broker re-echoed the thoughts of the Akin Olawore; “sustainability is the watchword of the company, with serious emphasis on good corporate governance. We strive to deliver the best at any given time to anyone who is investing in our company.

Also, buyers/investors stand a chance to enjoy a developer’s mortgage which will be offered by the developer for some of the housing units inherent in Cedar homes. It’s cheaper and less cumbersome than mortgage. This should be the first of its kind in Nigeria. There’s also 4 units of rent-to-own scheme model backed up by the developer for a number of units of the project. These different angles to the provision of affordable housing to middle class income earners make Cedar homes a unique brand of affordable housing development.

Cedar homes is strategically positioned in Ogonbo Lekki phase II area of Lagos State and Jahi, Abuja. It has a total of 168 housing units sitting on about 22,000 square metres of land.
