Oyo LG Chairman donates N100k To NUT for the construction of Secretariat.

Itesiwaju Local Government Chairman Hon. Niyi Adeagbo has on Wednesday, donated a sum of N100,000 Cash to National Union of Teachers (NUT), ITESIWAJU Chapter as part of the Local government’s contribution to facilitate the construction of its Secretariat.

Adeagbo announces the donation to the Branch Chairman of the Union, Comrade S.O Olaoti and his Secretary, Comrade M.O Bolaji respectively when they were received during their courtesy visit to his office in Otu, the headquarters of ITESIWAJU Local Government.

According to him, the importance of quality education as a pre-requisite for the progress and development of any nation is prime in his administration and tasks the teachers to uphold their commitments towards the excellent building and mentoring of the students in the council area.

The Chairman of the Union thanks the local government Chairman,saying the gesture is a confirmation of Adeagbo-led government’s desire to fully support the teacher in paying adequate attention to the welfare of teachers and qualitative basic education in the council area and notes that, Adeagbo has set the pace as the first Chairman in the history of Itesiwaju LG administration to identify with the teachers union, and promises the NUT’s continued support for his administration.
